1. Curated Content: Users often select specific moments, usually the most positive or visually appealing, to share with their audience. This can range from photos of travel destinations, gourmet meals, fashion, workouts, or celebrations, to carefully crafted thoughts and opinions. The selection process is deliberate, emphasizing what users want to highlight about their lives.



2. Aesthetic Presentation: Social media posts are frequently edited or filtered to enhance their appearance. Many users aim to create a cohesive visual theme or "aesthetic" across their posts. This could include using certain color schemes, photo filters, or a consistent style in captions. This consistency helps in building a recognizable personal brand or identity online.

3. Highlights Over Reality: Social media often showcases the best aspects of a person's life, leading to a highlights reel effect. The mundane, challenging, or less glamorous moments are often left out, which can create a skewed perception of reality. This selective sharing can lead others to believe that the person’s life is more exciting or perfect than it really is.
